#8 Birthday Post

It's my birthday today! I turn 24 years old. I am still looking young as always, hehe. These are some of the pictures produced during my photoshoot. I have to thank Hassan again because he did a fantastic job. These images came out perfect, very clean, and sharp. My favorite one? The first and the fourth image that's displayed above. What's the background story of these pictures? Well...

As soon as I started this blog, I knew that I had to take a different approach with everything I would usually do. I would typically try to use my iPhone 11 Pro camera and take pictures with portrait mode. I would never think of myself going through the process of a photoshoot. But once I did it, I saw that I had a great time with the whole experience. It felt like I was in control of the entire thing, as I got to choose what clothing to wear, what angles I wanted the shot taken. I got this Hollywood vibe, which is okay to feel once in a while, especially on your birthday!

The smoke bombs were an idea of mine that emerged from the inspiration of some television promos. If I wanted to get all the attention to myself and these photos, I needed something that would "wow" my followers. And with the blog, I knew I needed that surprise element because even I didn't expect to use smoke bombs for a photoshoot. Blue smoke represents my favorite color. I resonate with the color because of my admiration for the blue sky during the day. If there's one thing you'll learn about me, it's that I love looking up in the sky beyond the clouds and stare the mysteries of space right in the face. Orange color smoke constitutes this month, October. I know I'm not the only one who can't see October be any other color than orange.

Both outfits also stand out very differently and for a reason. The first outfit illustrates my youth and style. Even though I'm 24, I don't feel old. I'm mature, yes. However, I still have this taste to look young and preppy. I similarly think indifferent to suits and ties; my closet is full of them. For this photoshoot, I want to reach the younger demographic, people of the future. Lure them to what I want to bring into this world, starting with this blog. The next outfit describes my sense of adventure. I recently discovered a new hobby during quarantine, and it took me to many places around The Garden State. I was walking, searching, exploring the unknown. Hiking brought excitement into my life. And weirdly, it even scared of my anxiety to try new things. My inclination to discover what's out there has never been this high!

Overall, the whole point of everything I've been doing recently, the photoshoot, my hiking trips, and my blog, is to put myself out there in the world. I no longer have this anxiety that would keep me locked up in my room and spend hours locked on a screen. It's time to grow, and this photoshoot is merely one of the first steps...
